DVM, MS, PhD, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology)
Dr. Christiane Massicotte received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of Montreal in 1994. She then completed an internship program at University of Minnesota and a residency program atVirginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. While participating in the residency program, Dr. Massicotte concurrently earned a Master's Degree in neurotoxicology. While at Virginia Tech, she continued her studies in neurotoxicology and obtained her Ph.D. in 2001.
Dr. Massicotte earned her board certification as a Diplomate in Neurology of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in July 2001. She then worked at University of Pennsylvania as an assistant professor of neurology at the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital, while conducting research in molecular biology of the peripheral nervous system with neurology members of the Mahoney Institute of Neurological Sciences, University of Pennsylvania
Dr. Massicotte joined AERA as the director of our neurology service in 2005. Her research interests include molecular biology, electrophysiology and disorders of the peripheral nervous system.
